its back the synths from the 80s.i cant believe you people are saying its a bad synth because it has small keys and 4 poly ..hello its sounds analog to me and i had vintage synths so i know it comes close to the old dw 8000 and poly wake up and also stop complaining and get your self a controller wow thats a hard one to figure out use it as a dedicated synth mod really hard or you guys cant play so you press the buttons and you think your a keyboardist get a life.........and start playing instead of bitching

I bought a microKorg last week to replace the old keyboard in my band, and I don't think I'm gonna be disappointed. Confession; I haven't played with the editor yet, so I don't know how tricky it is/isn't to use. Anyhow, the sounds are great; they could maybe have been doing with a few more organ/el.piano sounds, but the ones that are there are very, very good; and maybe with a bit of tweaking. There are a lot of really great lead synth parts which I can see myself using a lot. I agree, the sound dial is a bit cheesy, and a bit sorta pointless. On the plus side, the 5 control dials are to-the-point, easy to use, and make basic adjustments beautifully easy. The mod and pitch switches are great too (mod especially).

Size is amazing; no more lurking around a 1m organ when u can put this in a wee bag. Keys; small, but managable if you're nimble; I wouldn't recommend this to a 1st time keyboard player cos they'll get frustrated. If you don't like the small keys, MIDI it!!!!!!!. I've got an electric piano and I just take a midi lead to the MIDI in on the Korg and presto; I can play Korg sounds on full-size keys. OK, it means you've got to have a bigger piano in your keys set-up, but luckily I do so I'm pretty damn happy with it.
