This is one bad assed little synth, I got one when it came and out and I've never had a disapointment. Portabillity big sound 2 arpeggiators in such little box and for 600 bucks you're an idiot not to give it a sreious look.....Cheers

This keyobard is $600 plus tax and it is worth every penny if you are a sounds hungry person!1100 sounds in total! The unit is lightweight and fragile as the first guy wrote. It has a red graphical lcd and weak knobs and overall case structure.I would not handle this unit too hard! Now for the good stuff..It has 64 note poly triton extreme engine..period!What the NEW sounds on this unit are..are the Triton extreme EXPANSION cards sounds that are added to the microX.Sounds are not complete sets however..they are just a sampling of what is on the various exp cards offered for the triton line of workstations..Orchestral,world sounds, vintage synths, pianos and keyboards, and others such as the FX sound collections and hiphop/dance sound cards as well. The unit sports a USB 1.1/2.0 interface with drivers for XP and OS-X for usb instead of midi control. The unit has dual arpeggiators for melodic and rhythmic parts and a 2 octave velocity sensing keyboard made by Matsushita electric(they made keys for korg and panasonic/technics and kawai since the 1970s).Unlike the microKorg which is a analog modeling synth..the microX is a triton fully expanded mini synth without the bells and whistles of the triton(seq, drummachine, sampler, etc),just the sounds...ALL OF THEM!The pianos and some acoustical sounds are not as nice and crisp as ROLAND JV/XP/XV/FANTOM but samples are better or at least unique and not found in Roland or yamaha..Is $600 too much for you for this synth?Go play one and then come back to me...
