I've sold my XL now, but it certainly wasn't because of the sound quality. The preset patches sound like they've been focus-grouped to perfection and I found myself using a handful of presets all the time. Some people despise the 2-knob patch selector because of catogorizaton, but whatever, it works.
It's the most portable synth since the Novation Bass-Station, lightweight and deliciously battery-powered. As testiment to it's sound, I've replaced it with a Radias now. The action is fine, although my huge hands couldn't cope with those tiny keys, plus the knobs are on the right hand side of the panel, causing me to cross my hands like a drummer.
I'd recommend this to anyone who has to carry their equipment to gigs on a subway.
