I bought my K-2 used in the mid 70's. It has not worked for many years. Recently I spotted it in the bottom of a closet and took it apart. The power switch was bad. I just spliced the wires together and it works like new. I used this in the studio for years. Going to use it again tonight after its long sleep.

I just got a k-2 at a garage sale last weekend fer $10! I almost crapped myself! I have a k-1 that I got last year from a friend. I traded a nice elec/acoustic epi for that one. This k-2 looked like it had been under water or something, but all the knobs are the same as the other on the front panel so I figured if it didn't work it would be great for spare parts. Got it home and hooked it up and it wails! I like the 2 a lot better. MUCH more versatile. The guy I bought it from said the guys in the group Kansas used this one. Its got a lot of wear from use and I am in Kansas City, so I guess its possible. I love love love these things!

I bought a Korg, Univox mini-korg, k1, 700, etc. at a small town pawn shop for $125. Best $125 I ever spent! It's a lot of fun to play and easy to figure out (not like the Korg ms-20!). I'm proud to say mine is in better condition than the ones I have seen pictures of on the net. All the knobs and levers are straight as an arrow and the colored tops still have the factory plastic on them (any buyers?) Also, I read somewhere that the keyboard player for the Cars used this alot on their first couple albums.

Groove Holmes gigged with this ... slapped it right on top of his ghetto-ride B3.
It sounded funky as shit through the Acoustic amps he used instead of leslies.
