I bought the korg n5 ex because of the positive comments about it. My problem is that I do not have any manual and it will be my first time to use it. Please help me to find it's manual so that I can have some comments about it. I have been using yamaha and roland for the past 12 years and I now feel to use korg. Thank you.

I bought my N5ex on ebay for $500 about a year ago, and have been hapily suprised ever since. I have owned a Roland Juno-109 and an ensoniq SQ-80 over the years. After playing a korg triton le a couple years ago, I was sold on the korg sound. I researched for a long while before purchasing this keyboard. For the money, there is nothing that can compare. It has a vast array of sounds that cover a wide variety of music. It is not a triton or trinity, but has their flavor on a budget.

I copped this black beauty at a pawn shop for 300 bucks. I use it as a sound module controlling it from my MPC and keyboard controller.

I've tried to edit the sounds and save them but it doesn't work. I don't know if something is wrong with the unit(the screen is a little fried) or if I just suck at translating the manual.

Other than that this machine sounds really good--far surpassing a general midi machine. And if you can use it properly you can edit and save sounds. It doesn't have a sequencer so make sure you're prepared for that.

The N5ex is a wonderful little piece of equipment the editing and programming features are more than I need, you could be programming all day making new sounds. You have to try the editor for it, you can load and save very nice sounds on it, many awesome sounds, and very affordable Good job Korg!

Robert Anthony a professional user from Las Vegas writes:
Great performance synth. I wish the pianos were more up to par with Roland, but other than that, you can not beat this synth for the money... I got mine for $255 on eBay! Some really cool sounds -- I'm very familiar with Korg's other synths -- specifically O1, M1, X series, T series; I used to do independent tech support for Korg synth owners -- They's pay me to teach them how to program and sequence. Keep in mind this is not a workstation -- which is why I bought it... The last thing I need is another workstation. This is a nice, great-sounding, great playing action, extremely portable performance synth with many great sounds... Pianos could be better -- still it's better than O1W's piano...
