This Oasys card is a power house!!!!! It's unbelievable that this card can be had at $500 that I paid from Ebay. The analog modelings are the sweetest! The Prophet 5 model is so warm and real with the hardest sync sound I ever heard!! The orchestra samples in the PCM synth are top notch. The physical modeling are extremely realistic also. I play the trumpet and flute with my wind controller and it's just amazing! The FXs are excellent too. The reverbs are warm and wide. Highly configurable and blows any reverb plug-ins away. No wonder they priced Oasys at $2200 when it first came out. I don't think no one will ever come out with this much power in one package ever again. This card is timeless.

What a hidden gem for a new desktop musician! For $399, it's a steal. All the sounds from Korg's elite boards like Trinity or Z1 are divine. This is really a secret arsenal for someone with low budget like me. All the effects and synths sound $3000 not $399. I don't know why this card wasn't a hit but I don't really care because then I wouldn't be able to own one. My amazing deal of the year.

One of the best investments I've ever made. Especially for the $499 I paid at Guitar Center! I would highly recommend it to any one looking for the Triton/Karma/Trinity sounds/effects/sampling (and then some) in your computer running along with your sequencer. I just got it and it's worth every penny plus much more. I'm using it with a new Mac G4 867 and the Digi 001 (PT LE). An excellent combination to say the least. Can't wait to start getting into it more. Ive only touched the surface of it's potential, in the week I've had it, and I'm blown away already.

If one did a direct comparison between TC Powercore, Pulsar II, Universal Audio and the Oasys PCI - the latter would probably stand out. It has so many synth and effects plugins out-of-the-box and it has phenomenal sound quality all around.

It also functions as a good audio I/O card with analog, ADAT and S/PDIF connections.

Do yourself a favour and check it out!

Could use more DSP power, but so could all the other DSP cards. It has more power than the TC Powercore - using similar processors.

Some of the best FX, virtual analog, physical modelling and sample playback sounds available - all on a single card.
