I bought mine back when what I really could've used was an sampled synth... which weren't available or were too expensive.
It's really easy to program, but I never was completely happy with the sounds. Unlike the Polysix, it doesn't have onboard chorus effects, so you end up thickening sounds by detuning. I should've just added an FX pedal. I did use a volume pedal with it, especially good on the organs.
So here I was wanting saxophones, trumpets and strings out of it, but only getting meager imitations.
I'll say this for it, it's warm. The Hammonds were very good... and fat. I had a slow rotor and a fast rotor in neighboring patches and the switch to the other sounded pretty good.
My best imitation of an acoustic piano (just fooling around with it one day) ended up with a plausible Wurlitzer. So I added some vibrato to it and kept that.
Overall, my favorite sounds from it were a couple Hammonds, a very warm string sound, mellow horns, harmonica, flutes. Oh, and I had a fluttering synth wow sound that resonated from a high pitch to a low pitch with a long sustain... kind of a cool song ender for a major rock piece.
I've since found sampled keyboards that suit my needs much better.
