The PE-1000 Polyphonic Ensemble seems to be a synth created before the development of VCOs. Each key has its own oscillator, so there is a 61-voice polyphony. The synth has 7 presets, plus a "user definable" sound. The editing capabilities are very basic - ASDR Envelope, Sine and Pulse Waves, a LFO for controlling pitch, and a HP/LP filter combination. Connectors for footswitches for damper, transposing, and a DIN connector for the filter cutoff. I bought it a few years ago for DM 70 (~USD 35) used, so I´m not complaining, but its neither a great sounding device nor a synth with cool performance-related capabilities.
