The PS3100 is an excellent machine; for the first time I actually have a synthesizer that can make all those sounds I hear on synthpop albums. I should like to add that the PS3100 is especially good and creating clangorous metallic sounds. The only real drawbacks are that it does not have a noise generator and it has only 1 osc per voice. Contrary to popular belief it does have release control on the EGs and yes it has 48 oscillators.

Got one since... oh, 1984 or so. Absolutely great for chorused string sounds and the like.

BTW, it doesn't have 48 oscillators, it has 12 real oscillators and uses dividers for the 4 octave range.

I like this 30kg machine very much... it took nearly 20 years until contemporary synths reached that polyphony. Beat that!
