You think Radias is the best Korg synth and haven't even heard of 707? Radias is great synth tho. I like the ambient-tones it's capable to create. I don't like presets and hate the trance-stuff which partly sounds like Virus stuff.

I've owned the Radias since it first came out, the OS upgrade was a welcome and significant one. This is a synth that begs to be programmed, I started out in the late 60's and have had my share of Mellotrons, Moogs etc, this is one very underrated synth and I think it was due to the intial presets that Korg loaded on it. With a little tweaking you'll love this synth.

this is a new synth for those appreciate the good side of how digital -sounding synths can work for you - if you're looking for moogy warmth look elsewhere , but actually in its sleek and coolly-temperatured way this sounds great.

kortison a professional user from Oslo writes:
I'm working with many old and new synths since 1987.As i played and programmed several sounds with Radias, i was very disappointed beacause of the boring digital dead charakter of this Bullshit.i have a Korg 707 too which is noisy and in some points limited but it can produce very organic powerfull complex sounds like an analog moster! For example Oscilator 2 on 707 is more flexible than Osc.2 of Radias because of variable waveforms and variable ringmodulation for every osc and you can transpose both osc's.the attack-time on 707 is faster than Radias,so you do better bass and percussive-sound on 707.

Radias is not worth more than 500 Dollar or Euro.you can find much better and inexpensive stuff on the market today. don't buy it.
