I have had many keyboards over many years....and when it came to buying my "last" keyboard I wanted to make sure I got it right.....I looked at the Motifs....at the Fantoms....and just about everything in between..I also read loads of reviews....but you know nobody can really recommend a synth to you....because it is personal....one mans pride and joy is anothers laughing stock.....best to hear them for yourself....try them on...like a pair of shoes....you will know the right one.....
My opinion.....for what it is worth....is that to my surprise as I never liked Korg keyboards that much....that the one that tickled me most was the TR88.......she still makes me smile everytime I switch her on.....superb sounds....the Motif sounded sort of weak....and dont the Roland offered me nothing new....they still sound like the JV series....perhaps a little thicker sound in the Fantom.....
Problem with reviews is that you will read from people who have just spent a lot of money on a keyboard.....and they either are blind...or simply do not want to admit that is not as great as they thought it was in the shop.......I am not like that....and talk from the heart....I bought an Alesis fusion 8 HD.....it lasted a week...before it was quickly moved on......
All I would suggest....is try the Korg for size.....you just might be surprised...
