The Vocoder is like Grandmaster Flash and DEVO getting down on a funk-nasty Orgy! Trust me, if you want to make some electro, hip-hop, Geek-Synth masterpieces, get yo' self one of these lil' guys! Quite affordable too! LISTEN TO Ghostly International Records...

bought it for 550 euros. It sounds very nice. The FX are not really useful... I have to tune it everytime I play or "vocode". It's worth to get one if you have a "love story" with the vocoder sound like I do!

simple but very effective, vintage sounding analog vocoder!not many controls for the various vocoder parameters, but it's sound is good!and it has a cv input for the built-in carrier's pitch modulation.so,you can connect other analogs(MS20,SQ10,modular synths...)and modulate the carrier's pitch!if you find one for 450 euros(like i did),buy it!

Andi Haehlen a professional user from Switzerland writes:
VC-10's have gone rare these days.

It's a true classic in a uniqe looking robust metal case, few functions, warm sound, easy to play with. Great toy, nice instrument.

One very nice feature is the line input for external signals and trigger them with your voice. Quite advanced for a box first published in 1978.

Get one, if you can.

:||CHAMBER||: a hobbyist user from United States writes:
Well, what can I say about the VC-10. To start off with I have just owned mine now for about 8 hours. I've been hunting for one of these for so long now and had the luck of finding a nice local fellow who was ready to part with his. So for a nice price I now have a lovely addition to my studio. Lets see...the vocoder itself doesn't offer quite as much control as many others that are out there, but it is the best looking of the lot and is really easy to use, also a great piece for sound education. There aren't too many of these around, if you find one it would be best to not hesitate and pick it up.

If anyone out there has either an extra VC-01 microphone or you just don't want yours any longer and would like to make a bit of cash please e-mail me. Mine didn't come with the microphone and it would be nice to have the original that was meant for it.
