The EX is a great synth. It's pretty easy to program, once you know what all settings stand for. It doesn't have any resonance filters, but by using wave-sequencing or by fooling around with it's build-in (multi-)effects you can create about every sound you want. The keyboard is of very good quality also, not like those plastic and crappy keyboards you nowadays get in a Yamaha AN1x or CS1x. I also had a Wavestation-SR for a while, but I personally prefer the EX
