Since I own the Zee. I already got the Clavia Nordrack mk2 and the Modular. I am still supprised what VA can do and has to offer. The most enjoyable thing is the ribbon-touchpad. You can use this in your soundprograms with CMD, but you can also use it aside with MIDI. Just the right CC-number and go-a-head. This means also for all the other knobs. It supprised me that nobody mentioned this before. The NR2 has come really alive. Fast the best midi-controller I have played.

The Z1 is a wonderfull gear - the best machine I've ever been used (..and still use)! Pads, leads, arpeg.-sound - simply all noises, that come out of this one are superb - top bass and very clear sound, that sometime you have to limite outside of 16khz. By the right adjusting and sound-design you're able to create very powerfull and organic sounds, that you'll never hear out of other synths.

I love the Zee. The sounds are great, and the OS somehow thinks like I do. Whenever I want to modify a patch, it seems like the right parameter is right in front of me. Great microtuning implementation, and the X/Y pad is to die for. Best of all, this synth sounds great whether used as a VA or PM synth, or both. Korg's best effort to date.

Excellent synth, you can totaly do more with Z, then with Nord Lead(Nord of course is excellent too). Only two complaints about Z: 1. Cheap buttons. 2. Wheels (i like joystick better).
I have a question - wasn't Virsyn inspired by Z1 in any way?
