I have absolutely no idea what this guy is going on about. The Z1 is best va by far and has absolutely nothing to worry about when compared to a wavestation or sy99?? As long as he doesn't go on about its limitations I'll be happy!

What are you smoking? The Z1 does killer analog sounds far better IMO than a JP-8000 and any Novation, and tied with NL and Virus, plus it does a lot more.... comb filtering, ring mod, modeled acoustic instruments, and with modulation routings that you will only find elsewhere on the Matrix 12 or a modular synth. Can the NL do all of this? No! This synth transcended its time and stands up to any modern VA and then some. Don't judge by the presets even though they're not bad. Program and you will be rewarded.

As far as VAs go this is not the best choice, the keyboard is better then Nord Lead, but not the sound. As far as digital sound, i'd go for Wavestation or FS1r or SY99. If you are looking for Analog sounding digital synth, forget about Korgs, check ION or Nord Lead, or Virus. ION sounds great, and offers more then NL!

Fantastic. Best sound of the va's. Though it's in it's prime in the digital sound realm. It's bon-ner-ville and they're excellant value 2nd. Oh dear it has a problem with the processor switching to the next patch. The next one's worth waiting for.

this is one of the best synths ive had. you have to dig a bit deeper in edditing then its smaller brother the prohecy to get a original sound. but this thing blew me away. i bought the Z1 three days ago and i can't stop playing with it. from ambient to techno or pop to classic the MOSS system can do it all. it's build like a house and reliable as my dog.

at first i thought this thing was not suitible for my style of music (techno) but it is and how!!

one thing sucks. no patch edditing in multi mode.

8 to 16 voices expandeble 6 parts multitimbral Multi Oscillator Synthesis System 2 multi mode filters quality effects (uses lots of DSP power) tons and tons of modulation routings programable arpegiator with gate out (can trigger cv if you want :) )

check lfo4.com for more info on prophecy and z1
