brilliant for experimental stuff, but not for the faint of heart: there's much that this box can do and the manual is crap. needs a few days' work before you stop getting lost in a miriad of possibilities. but if you want to programme your grooves while they're muted, play in rhythms other than 4/4, drive two drum modules and three synths from one unit, change bar-lengths/resolutions/step-lengths and just about everything else as well as copying patterns all without having to hit the stop button, then this is your beast. the arpeggiator could use a few more patterns, but the few that are available can be bent/warped/transmogrified into lots of other things. again, all on the fly. very good for spontaneous stuff on stage - once you've practiced with it !

Tommy Dummy a hobbyist user from Belgium writes:
Well, first, it is a very solid box. I use it mainly to control a drumstation next ma elektron machine drum that lacks the 808 and 909 original sounds. I must say the layout is pretty fine and it is very easy to use. I really like the on the fly editing and muting. The timing is rock solid. It have a big memory and some nice delay and roll features. To sequence drum in a live situation it is the best piece I have (with the Alesis MMT8 and Ableton Live). It only miss one thing, it is the suffle or groove template. So it is a straight tempo. For some of you that make groovy house music, it can be a problem, but.... Anyway, it's a detail in may way of thinking. You can use it to create quick innovative drum pattern than re-record them into cubase or logic to add shuffle or groove quantizing. To summerize in two words: EASY and INTUITIVE.
