I plan on creating an information resource web page for the Satellite where I will post scanned copies of the owner's and service manuals. Hopefully I'll have it done by the end of the year 2002. If this is something you would like to see, then email me.

For the $500 that it cost in 1975, you couldn't touch anything else comparable. A friend of mine and I each owned one and played them in bands we were in, recorded with them, and had a LOT of fun with them. My feelings are that a GOOD musician can make ANY instrument's sound worth listening to.

I had the use of one of these briefly and was glad I didn't pay £150 for it. It looks unusual but the switches are just asking to be snapped off... it also sounds quite thin and isn't made for big bassy notes. As much as it seems to be disliked, the Korg MicroPreset really is a better and more versatile instrument. I think with the Satellite you're just paying for the M-word on the back.
