How could Tommy have bought his new in 72 when the manufacture period was 76-81.... ********************************************

Fat-fingered it - should have been 76 - although I saw Chris Squire playing them on stage in Dallas in 1974 - maybe the production run started a little earlier than you think?

funny story abut my taurus. this guy that was friends with a friend of mine owed hi smoe money ($75). they shared a bandroom for a while and when he left i told my friend i would give him $75 dollers for the moog! it was not working that great and it has since quite working all together so now i need to get it fixed! but this thing is wicked when it is working. so does anyone know somewhere i can get it fixed? any help will be greatly appreciated. but anyway, if you find one, GET IT! it is kind of fidlely plaing with your feet at first, but you get used to it, and you will want to get used to playing it once you hear it (in fact you probably have already heard it). this thing wiil destroy speakers, it is leathal!

steven west a professional user from whittier ca, usa writes:
I BOUGHT A SET OF TARUS I'S WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT, AND THEY WERE GREAT, NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. I REGREAT EVER SELLING THEM, BUT BEING A STARVING MUSICIAN I HAD TO, I NOW OWN A SET OF TARUS II AND HAVE THE ORIG MANUAL AND FACTORY SPECS SHEETS. THE ONLY PROBLEM I'VE EVER HAD WITH THEM WAS THEY WOULD SHIFT OUT OF PHASE WHEN CHANGING NOTES I'VE FOUND THAT IF YOU LEAVE THEM PLUGED IN AND LEFT ON ALL THE TIME THEY STAY MORE STABLE LIKE MOST EARLY ANALOG SYNTHS.

Nick Smith (aka Doctor Bass) a part-time user from Peterborough, England writes:
The Moog Taurus Bass Pedal Synthesiser! What more does anyone want in tone terms!? I was very, very lucky when I finally tracked a set down (after a 10 year search), here in England (from a music store in Southend!). I got to the shop only to find an elderly gentleman (an organ player!) trying them out! Anyway, he asked the salesman whether they were MIDI compatible....

So, for 399 I walked out the store with a very big grin! They have been used at some pretty big gigs and I just love the look on the crowd's face when I step on the low C pedal! Again, the earthquake thing - allegedly, Adam Clayton caused a landslide in South America when U2 played at a stadium - the low end travels miles!

My unit is in fairly good condition although it is missing the plate which goes over the control section - it has to warm up before use!

Best Regards!
