ibought mine for 640$, but as a birthday present my mother paid for half of it so i only REALLY paid 320 for it. it is my first and only synth for the time being, but i really don't ever get bored of it at all. it never ceases to amaze me. i have seen them for over 800$ (and rising!) and to anyone like me looking for cool analog beepy moog tone i would suggest just getting an old korg thing for much cheaper.

as a prodigy owner i can say that it constantly amazes me new sounds every week! it's sound is just so smooth(for lack of a better word!) i can make it sound like a minimoog or even a a.r.p.it's lead sounds can cut through just about anything(except the sound of my wife!!)great bass totally awsome moog. the guy who thinks the radio shack (m-g-1) sounds better, must actually be a trumpet player!! there is nothing like a moog!!!

BASS BASS BASS BASS

It is the poor mans Minimoog!

It is not a brilliant machine but It can produce some superb effects

Loathed by Minimoog purists, because it can make bass sound just as fat. It has sync which can makeit sound like an Odyssey. Basic but it has the classic sound only Moogs can do!

Dave Hopton a part-time user from England writes:
I've had the Prodigy for about 12 years and use it mainly for those classic "Wakeman" type lead lines, lots of analogue reverb is the key. It will cut through any volume of music and really blows the audience into submission! Bass sounds are brilliant too, although it can't go low enough to simulate Taurus bass pedals. No wonder its having a revival. The best bargain I ever had. I wouldn't sell it even if I sold all the rest of my kit.
