THE OSCILLATORS ON THE PRODIGY ARE VIRTUALLY IDENTICAL TO THE LAST MODEL OF THE MINIMOOG

SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS SHOW 95% SIMILARITY TO THE OSCILLATOR SECTIONS OF LATE MINI. THE SYNC.

SWITCH USES ONLY ONE EXTRA COMPONENT, A J-FET TRANSISTOR LOCKED ON TO THE J-FET IN OSC.2.

THE FILTER IS VIRTUALLY IDENTICAL TO THAT IN THE MULTI AND MICROMOOGS, ELECTRICALLY.

MIDI'D THIS INSTRUMENT CAN EASILLY HANDLE 6 OCTAVES IF CALLIBRATED CORRECTLY.

MY PRODIGYS[2] TUNE UP IN ABOUT 3 MINS. AND CAN BE PITCH BENT HIGH WITHOUT 'BEATING'.

I THINK THAT THE PRODIGY IS AN EXCELLENT INSTRUMENT CAPABLE OF EXPANSION WITH ALITTLE KNOWHOW!

I bought my Prodigy new back in 1980 when I was in HS. It has a great sound, especially for bass. Excellent sync too! And cool noises when you crank the rez ('emphasis').

Hey Prodigites: my cool tricks!

Open your Prodigy's case and remove the pins from the pitch wheel. Now you can tune the puppy down an extra octave for thumpin' bass. I like using OSC#1 at 32' and triangle, and OSC#2 at 16' with saw or square. Mix OSC#1 at 10 and OSC#2 at about 2 or 3. VCA sustain at 5 or 6, no release. A little resonance, a little envelope & tweak that filter. Thick...

Push the LFO waveform switch halfway between the two choices (tri/square). Switch on the LFO->Oscillator switch and move the modulation wheel... Switch on the LFO->Filter switch and move the modulation wheel... Yee-haa!
