got mine for $12, everybody loves it. don't be mislead by it's simple appearance, you can get a wide variety of sounds from this little monster. I can play with it for hours. and it sounds PHAT!

The MG-1 was my very first synth. I still have it, and I still love it. It's got an inexplicable charm to it. I keep meaning to create an MG-1 fan site but I'm lazy.
It doesn't do a very wide range of sounds, but it's warm and - forgive me, but the adjective fits - fat. It's great for dub bass, bleepy stuff, and resonant leads. The oscillator sync sounds quite nice, but you can't modulate VCO pitch with the envelope - poo.
Not worth hunting down, but well worth picking up if it presents itself at a decent price. (A decent price is around US$200-250 - these people who pay $400 for them because they say "MOOG" on them are insane.)
And, CoolColJ, it sounds NOTHING like a 303.

I can't believe I found one of these at the swap meetfor $16 (I talked them down to what I had in my pocket. For that price there's nothing to complain about. I found it easy to use, and it sounds great to me. I wouldn't pay what some people are for it, though, as it does have its limitations - no MIDI.

They had one a while back at my local pawn store , very very cheap. Didn't know what it was, damn I should have bought it. On playing it, it sounded so 303 and warm! This one had filter inputs. I didn't get it at the time, as I couldn't use it with my midi setup ;)
Doh!
