NI has a very active mailing list (see their web page)featuring all the gear-heads that program on this beast. I never made it past the demo stage, as I had already bought Seer Systems Reality.

Trade off here, seems to be that Reality has nailed the latency problem (I use the recommended Awe 64 with Digital Out). Generator seems to be way more flexible and really limitless in possibilities.

It seems from reading the mailing list, (I have since unsubscribed, as much of the discussion makes my eyes glaze over, plus Reality put out version 1.5 and I decided to stick it out) that in order to benefit from Generator in making your own sounds that you really have to know what you are doing. Every sound (unless you just want to load what others have done) is generated from absolute scratch...down to deciding if you want the sound to be triggered by a keyboard!

So far I've only been able to play the drums and filters 'till delirium. Now anyone can sound like Plastikman. I see tons of potential with this little monster - but has anyone done any in-depth sound design with it? Is this program anywhere near the sophistication of the Nord Modular?? I'm a bit apprehensive about forking over several hundred bucks for a program that doesn't work properly with an Event Layla! Does anyone know if NI released a compatable driver?? Works fine on my other computer(pentium120) until it runs out of processing power. Promising stuff.
