for it being the first real synth that i have purchased i have to say that i love the knobs. its exactly what i was looking for when i was searching for a synth. the only drawback is that its monotimbral. but seeing as how i dont use it that way , its really no big deal , but it should be multitimbral.other than that it LOOKS great and sounds just as good.alot better than my cheesy ass casio cz3000.<<~~~REAL piece of chit.

The clicking happens after the unit is on, when flipping through presets. Not all click. The volume knob also clicks when you turn it up or down. Definitely needs to be addressed. The clicks aren't super loud, but they are there. This definitely hinders the synth in a live situation. Otherwise the synth is awesome if you like the novation sound. Very glossy and clean sounding but definitely full and bass is there if you want it. Best thing about the synth is the size/portability vs. sound capability/quality ratio compared to price. Excellent deal. No other synth comes to mind other than the MicroQk and Indigo, both of which are much higher priced and slightly bigger/heavier. I hope more companies come out with mini synths this powerfull and affordable. 5 in faith that they will take care of the clicks. Score is based on price and package. I only wish it had pressure sensitive/aftertouch and ran on batteries. That would be the icing on the cake.

You have to turn on the K-Station FIRST!! before you turn on the amp or monitors, it even says it in the manual. Of course theres going to be popping noises when you turn on the k-station while the amp is on

Hey Rob Vining do get the K-Station it definitely will give you great sounds. And I have to agree with Nuala on some presets you did get a loud popping sound when going thru some of the sounds I think it because of some effect presets on the K-Station.
