As an owner of the Waldorf Q, Nord Lead, and Access Virus, I can say that the Novation Nova II certainly holds its own among the finest synths on the planet.

Although each synth has its strengths, I find the Nova's usability and easy to use modulation matrix create a very intuitive sound design environment. In addition, the individual effects across each voice has made this syth the most used in my professional studio.

The filters sounds fantastic, and with 12, 18 and 24 db slopes, very usable. I find myself routing my other synths through the nova to get the sound I'm looking for, from smooth sweeps to agressive and quite frankly, nasty ripping sweeps. (The distortion contol helps.

I could go on and on about this synth. Another great feature is the user friendly menu buttons the control various section of the synth. Throught these easy to navigat menus the sound designer can control elements of the sound that is impossible with my Q, lead, or virus.

I would suggest this synth to anyone who can afford it.
