The Supernova has the best interface I've ever seen. The range of sounds are quite staggering. With every tweak, you'll stumble upon one classic sound after another (and of course all the stuff you've never heard). There's alot of great synths out there, but if you're looking for the ultimate beast, this is it! 8 part multitimbral; 56 simultaneous FX (7 per part); 8 simultaneous arpeggiators (in any time signature); 8 outputs (each with their own 24bit Digital-to-analog converter); up to 32 voices & 1024 prog's; 2 LFO's (sync to MIDI) capable of oscillating at audio rates; 3 oscillators, 2 ring modulators and a noise generator (per voice). Did I mention the filter? 12,18,24 dB per octave res' filters configurable as either low pass, high pass, or band pass, complete with an overdrive control!

And the design on this baby, doesn't she look beautyful! Compared to those unpersonal cheap-looking JDs and JP. She's got both grace and power.

I just got my Supernova. I think it will cause a revolution in the virtual analogue industry for sure. The preset sounds are plain but have so much potential (the first night I made 5 top notch bass and leads that would have taken me a week on a nord lead). This piece is definatly worth the price and the only competition it has is the amazing Access Virus. 8 parts multitimbral (w/ no catch...they all retain their individual effects..thats like 56 simultaneous effects!), 8 outputs, 3 banks of 128 sounds, etc.. the only thing i diden't like is that there is only 1 arpeggator for a whole performance (arpeggator speed will override the preset arpeggator speed in the individual program mode)..that sucks but if you use MIDI sequencer it doesen't matter. The Supernova sounds really analogue (great), has a freindly user interface, is better than 8 superbasstations, and is a staple in my home studio.

The great thing about this synth is that it mix the german sound (Virus + Waldorf etc.), what we here call "toiletbass", with a sound like the Z1.

The machine is killer, and i my eyes the analog god of this century.
