I just luv this thing!! I got it two weeks ago for about 1185 eur. for that price it is the best synth one can get. You see,I had the choice between this and the virus c but the c just give didn't me the ahh effect , it sounded lame and just too expencivefor what one gets.In contrast the Sn2 is a mighty power synth which does notsound lame or hollow . The only cont. about the synth is the nova are not as quick as access in updates which is a shame because there is so mutch power still lying in those micro chips .Still means that I have more time to enjoy each new update. peace

Salud!

Hollow? Sterile? The Supernova II rocks! It has a very powerful sound, and loads of sound sculpting possibilities.

I read alot of reviews before I purchased my Supernova, and after playing it a couple of days, the old addage of "to each his own" comes to mind. This synth is beatiful. The controls are intuitive and sound sculpting is a breeze. Some have described this synth as hollow or sterile, they obiviously haven't taken the time to tweak this baby. With the new OS 2.0 and plenty of room for your "favorites" banks I love the endless possibilites this synth provides. I have yet to use the vocoder, but I'm really taking time to savor everything on it. I've read that this synth feels flimsy, honestly I don't see it. I have a korg Poly 800 and its older than the moon and feels like its made of paper, but it plays like its new. To each his own . . .

I agree with the last one. The power of the SNII is even beyond me....
