Pretty amazing and handy little device for sure. Had one for 3 years, and traded it for other gear. Within one month, I started hunting for another one cuz I missed it so bad. ( And I also have a Pulse and Doepfer MS-404 and MAM MB33-II. I guess you could say Im a Bass fiend.) Anyway, this little board is indispensible and I have another BassStation now. Im very glad to have found another one. They aint cheap, but they are definately worthwhile!! Best little 2-octave keyboard around AND it makes a very cool midi controller too if you like things simple.

Holly shit. This box it's just a need for your studio set up. It can do the most agressive sounds i've ever heard.

Just try this: plug it to a metal zone boss pedal. Put the resonance to 10 and play with Fc. If a knife would be a sound that's how it would be.

Good for basses too. 303 emulation don't works but who dares?

The only con that i find it's the cheap build up. It's made of cheap plastic that seems too weak.

Again...who dares?

Hmmmm not so sure about this one.... It seemed alright at first, but after a while you start to realise its limitations - build quality is really not that great, it just looks and feels so cheap. Ive got it set up next to a Korg EA1 electribe, and to be honest its no contest. The Korg handles the bass so much better and has loads more features, and 2 voices compared to the novation's one voice. Some of the sounds are alright, although im not really sure what you'd use most of them for. LFO is annoying, as is the poor quality output jack which has already worked itself loose. No midi thru either, but thats not much of a problem really i suppose.... Not for me basically. If i didn't have the electribe i might look at it more favorably, but i would really struggle to find much of a use for this.

I like this little keyboard's sound for sure, but the build quality is shite!! Knobs are the crappy hard plastic wobblers and are way too small. Its cheapo plastic and Id be terrified if it fell on something hard. Im afraid that would be the end. I think Id go for the Super BassStation rack next time. Way more features for like $50 more. If this little board was made with metal case and nice quality knobs it would be awesome, but for the cheopo construction job, im givin it only a 3 instead of a 5. I hope it doesnt break. :o
