I am so glad everyone hates the Ob12 though and I wish everyone but it's owners would hate it.

The oB12 is sooooooo liquid. It seems to morph into other brands of synths with the just a few twists of the knobs.

Everytime I hear the OB12 and mess around with it - it never ceases to amaze me .

It also weighs a ton which I LIKE! The heavier the better.

Heavy = Quality

Light= DaeWoo chips that break when exposed to oxygen.

Discontinued?? It's not, it's still alive and has never been better, or it's just getting better. Finaly a VA that does not sound "artificial". Does people still buy synths for their presets?? Anyway, if you turn some knobs and pull some sliders you'll be surprised, very surprised!

And it's cheap, but probably not for long...

Oh yeah, and the suport is fab.

This is already a classic ,if you understand sound synthesis and spend time on the OB you are the limit not the OB don't blame your lack of knowledge on to the OB. Yes!! its very different to the JP8000 , I have that synth too ,its nice that the OB does not sound the same ,two different synths for different sounds, bloody great isn't that what we want !!. The OB sits alone within the VA synths unique,original and when you program it yourself (throw away the presets!!)a very strong synth with great sounds which will make your music sound a little different to rest of the bunch ...and now for GBP 499 a bargain . Buy one now ..on second thoughts don't then you will be offering me a lot of money for mine in 5 years time when its a all time classic... Its still being made and supported by Viscount their website will have new sounds and operating software for download they assure me its still a on-going project...

The OB12 is one of the best synths I know. In the shop it sounded a bit harsh, but the one I bought sounds like heaven.......I have no idea where this difference came from.
