Definitely a sheep in wolf's clothing. I really wanted to like this, but from the get-go, the OB-12 proved to be a huge disappointment. Controls were poorly implemented and inconsistent, and the sound is weak and muffled. The FM knob is a total joke. The only redeeming feature is the wonderful display, but I'd take my JP-8000 with its weak display and superior sound over this poor excuse for a waste of $2,000. Synths are about sounds, not packaging. Shame on you, Oberheim.
