Finally, a module that can produce truly grooving and natural-sounding electric bass lines. Pleanty of options to choose from, too.

The Units is very simple, and is basically a play-back bass module with 256 fixed patches.

The bass patches include, various types of

Raw Digital Synth Basses,
some Pulse Basses with sweeping filters and others with panning effects
Sine,
Saw,
at least 12 FM basses (one of the patches is the exact bass from Micheal Jacksons - Smooth Criminal),
P-Bass : - about 6 - 8 variations,
Acoustic bass about 4 0r 5 variations,
Jazz bass
Fretless : - about 3 or 4 variations
Picked Bass : - about 2 variations of this
and the last few being pad type Basses like Jupiter sounding

The unit, is an interesting buy. If you don't have the PC1600 controller, it is not vary versatile. I find many of the pacthes, particularly the Synth and FM basses very 80's sounding for my taste. ... and only 1 of the P-Bass patches sounded remotely like a real Fender.

The bass patches are not as thick and heavy as say a Roland JD990 "Rubber Bass", and some of the velocity switching is just pain bad. I felt that if the filters were denser, the overall sound would have been better.

The Output Levels are not very hot, and require you to boast the signal a bit, which then reveals the DA Converter Hiss.

If the unit is purchased for 100US or so. I would say you got your money's worth.

Great bass for the money! Im a bass player and Im having some fun with this box. I use the Art Phat Boy to process the sounds. Lots of choices. This is one of the cheapest ways to get more BASS in your arsenal!!!
