I bought this toy an year ago.It was my first synth so I love it in any ways. It has a personal sound, tipically mellOOOW.So if you want this kind of sound Juno2 is the best choice!.Anyway this is not a versatile synth. It's oriented for some kind of ambient-techo music. The best part are pads & strings.Good organ too.But all the other sound can be useful to create new type of music and inspirate new ideas...No arpegg. but the chord memory is very usefull.

i picked up my juno at a pawn shop for about 250 its seems boring lokking when compared to analog synths but thus its not an analog synth it does however create several diffrent analog lead sounds you can manipulate each sound and save it on a cartridge however you must have a cartridge to do so if you dont the downside is every time you change a preset sound or turn it off you must manually reset each function and theres no analog knobs to do so you must use the digital display and jog wheel which gets rather annoying quick theres alot of noises and soundeffects on here and you have the ability to rename each sound whatever you like it makes great digital 80s prog space noises that would be great for dance oriented music with the excellent lead sounds providing that fine new wave sound

is it just me, or do weird things happen with this synth..... i think that the filters might self oscillate, but only under certain conditions (maybe), cause every now and then i get strange (unexpected) sounds coming out of the machine....
apart from that i love the beast....... it does the most out-there acid/synth/ambient/hardcore sounds..... it always manages to suprise, the EG is capable of very, ummm..... different effects.
I think the alpha junos are VERY unique synths, and i am very fortunate to own one...... its the first synth in my collection that i show off to people (even though it looks boring)...... i love it...... i wish i had a pg-300 though
