My DR-5 was a great investment. I have programmed some my favorite tunes. It's allot of work, but it sounds great !. I played in bands for years and it was great, but when you work full time and have a family, it's very difficult. With the DR-5 I play what I want when I want without experiencing the band blues and neglecting my family. If anyone knows a source of .syx files with pre-programmed standards please let me know. Thank You Roland (Boss) for bringing music back into my life. Gary Carter

well i bought my d-5 a year ago used...since then the program select keys have all fallen off and the key select button sticks...but this hasnt kept me from using it... right know i have it hooked up to an akai s2000,i'm just comfortable playing it for some strange reason...this synth doesnt have that great of sounds except for the synth leads but it is comfortable and unique, not at all like the same old shit you get from newer keyboards.

Garrett Reynolds a hobbyist user from USA writes:
I have a D5 & D10. Great keyboard for reliability, I have had these for years with no problems. I'm about 3 years overdue for the internal batter, that just keeps going. Not real good for acoustic sounds, ie piano, great brass, drum, bass ect. Anybody got some Sysex files for these series? I also have 1 rom card available.
