I agree with liquid ice that the Pioneer is a good mixer. But one thing that always disappoints me about Pioneer stuff is the lack of MIDI. Their EFX-500 has a MIDI IN/OUT but all it does is sync clock signals. It could of been the best if you could dump the effect settings via MIDI controller data and make it one of the best effectors on the market.(dump your effects (or control other stuff with it) settings to a computer sequencer or smart media card would of been ideal) The PIONEER DJ-XXX mixers don't even have MIDI on em! Why did they even put MIDI on the EFX-500? They should make a 19inch mixer thats with the EFX-500 control's (Roland's effect DSP chips(the EFX-500 zippy ring on the delay sucks)) and FULL MIDI IN/OUT on it. Then you could record all your effects and DJ mixer control's out to a computer (using a Mp3 mixing soft. for you music) via MIDI out allowing you to edit your fades,eq,effects and other MIDI controls when your done.

Roland's full featured MIDI design and DSP + Pioneers DJ hardwear = KING OF FUTURE DJ MIXERS

That's if either company decides to ever make a new DJ mixer. And if they ever work together. Send me an E-mail when they do :)

yeah, great mixer! that is if you like cheap faders that break and overpriced equipment that doesn't live up to its claims. PIONEER IS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD. never been to rave or club that has this dreaded roland mixer! i would recommend even the most basic vestax mixer over this heap of junk. oh, and if this is better than a djm-600, then where's the sampler?

Never messed w/ this. I have a DJ-1000, but i can tell you that the flippin beat matcher sux. what werx for me is the eq. +16db = avg and good. Faders suck and get worse as you use them. DJM = Pioneer = awesome quality.
