Best purchase I've made in a long time. With this one board, I was able to get rid of all my older boards, fx processors and external sequencer. Sounds are incredible and the things it can do are unbelievable. Ive only just scratched the surface of it and Im still amazed.

I was bored with workstation keyboards and vowed that I'd never get "trapped" into purchasing a hardware do-it-all keyboard again. I don't need one with all this computer stuff I've got. Then Roland trots out the Fantom X. "Argh! Not another "me too" workstation," I thought!

Then I gave in and messed around with the sequencer and bashed about on the sounds. This keyboard changed my mind! It is the only workstation that I would own. Mind you, I'm not taking a swipe at the others out there...Most of the pro synths from Yamaha, Korg, and Kurzweil have fantastic sounds. But, as a complete workstation, there is nothing quite like the Fantom. It is user friendly, sounds great, very expandable down the road...and one heck of a lot of fun! I am now using it to integrate with Sonar Producer and all my soft synths (about 30 or 40)because it makes an excellent controller as well. Love it!

Awaiting delivery of an x7 but very put off by the American Roland website video demos, so incredibly old fashioned.

Does no one like proper banging hard house music in the states?

The beats the demonstrators choose are 'big beat' type sh1T we abandoned in 1992.

Cmon guys get some rythum and ditch the guitar samples.

This baby is solid as a battleship. User interface is very comfortable nd friendly. Tons of brilliant sounds, plus SRX cards and powerful sampler on-board. It is the best keyboard I've ever played. PIANO sound is absolutely stunning, as well as live/synth brass, PADS, guitars & accordeons. Vari-phrase technology - !!! Live Setting mode - !!!
