This keyboard surely fulfills your dreams of "programming" a song.. It has hundreds of features which really impressed me.. such as a 100MB Zip drive.. I've been using my G-1000 for about 1,5 years, but i couldn't even come close to it's full capacity.. I didn't have any need of a computer to edit or generate midi files since it's built-in operating system seemed good enough for me.. But when it comes to sounds.. I had a big disappointment actually.. Maybe that's because i was expecting sounds like Korg's or Kurzweil's sounds.. But still, i've managed to "produce" some nice sounds by combining two or three sounds at a time.. It's DSP makes some nice work, too.. But you can add only one DSP effect to your sound at once.. Which means you can not add "enhancer" and "distortion" effect to your keyboard solo sound at the same time..

All in all, i love using my g-1000, but i must tell you that it's really heavy (18kg), and it IS a big keyboard.. :)

Finally, if any one is willing to buy this keyboard, i advice them to try it first.. Because this keyboard is NOT a synth!!

my g1000 is a very useful keyboard but with lot of problems :the 2nd drum kit in the sequencer. the oriantal tunes for oriantal songs. why don't they made a better sequencer? like that in the Korg Trinity V3? and with more interests in editing? the oriantal drum kit is an exelant one but unfortunatly we need another oriantal drum kits like those in the e500.

I'm a one man band playing my music at a g1000 Roland and I can say it's simply the best ever keyboard it's very usefull, the problem is with some strange mistakes in the Keyboard, I also have a trinity-plus it's best specially in pitch-bender editing and in some voices apecially Bank S. but with no arranger or oriantal drum kit I wish to have a roland arranger workstation with pitch editing like the trinity and with a good sequencer like the trinity with more oriantal drum kits. thank you very much for reading my email to you...
