I have this synth with a GR808 guitar, and don't use it very often, but whenever I plug to it, get surprises. Is like a limited unlimited thing, but the timbre is too vintage, I think. Maybe now that the 80's are cool, maybe we live a second coming of these futuristic instruments, but they are not easy to find anyway.
Long life to CV!!

Another eBay find! This one I got with a GR-303 controller was in almost mint condition. I wanted to get this to cop those famous Pat Metheny guitar synth licks. I was playing that "Birds From Mars" Metheny sound in minutes after powering up! Warm sounding...and awesome one-of-a-kind sound. The unit isn't for everybody, and even though it's 1979 vintage, don't expect to sound like a Prophet 5 or minimoog after hookin' up. But!...if you want to play that signature Roland GR-300 sound made famous by Pat Metheny, Robert Fripp, or Andy Summers (beginning of "Secret Journey"), buy it at any cost if you can find it. "A-H...M-A-H...G-A-W-D this thing is awesome!!!!!
