I agree. It is one the best digital "analog" machines out there. Sold my JD800 for it...but then you lose the sliders of the JD800.Even though it is supposed to be the module version of the 800. The sounds of the JD990 are "punchier" for sure. Also has ring modulator which the JD800 doesn't have. Doesn't have all the great presets of the 1080 though.
