Hello. I quite like the jp-8080 although I certainly wouldn't count on it to provide everything I need. The Waldorf Pulse + is quite better in many aspects, but judging from some of the comments here such as "midi is evil" and "whats the remote keyboard thing" I don't know that everyone here could use a + to it's full potential. It's a good tool for kid ravemasters to cut their teeth on and learn how to use midi, and I use it live to fill in while I am changing patches on the sh-101. Not a bad module, overall.

What? I think it sounds a lot like a jupiter 6, with a digital edge, it can sound much like junos and jupiter 8 as well. Its not as warm granted, but it can sound vintage, and even moogish a tad bit. Edit away and you can make lots of nice old sounds. add some fx, and you can barely tell that it is in fact virtual.

like many of the Roland equipment the sounds are great for the modern trance trax ...but terrible if you're looking for those old vintage sounds you would expect if you look trough the patch list...buy it for the voice modulator! (and also a bit for all those nice christmass lights in the dark)

what?? ditch midi?? no way..unless you all want to go back to CV/GATE and Mc4's...hmm..sounds goo-...nevermind...Midi is one of the best things to come along for musicians...and remember you dont HAVE to use computers for making music, or recording it either..i am anti computer and i use all hardware sequencers and i love life..thank god for midi, and being able to sync LFOs and arpeggiator and keeping all my gear in sync...
