The biggest and punchiest Roland analogue, no doubt. A Giant in every respect. 1msec attack time on the envelopes, makes it great for bass, and of, course 8 voices of tripping, transparent pads is the bomb. Can sound very industrial, when you're not in the sweet-spot area. The Jupiter 8 is to the Juno-60 what Pluto is to Mars. And the Jupiter 6 is what Neptune is to Venus. If you're familiar with astrological concepts, you'll know what I mean.

This in my opinion is the best sounding analog poly. I also own a mks80, jp is warmer, the mks goes lower, jp8 is better. Compared to the jp8000 i used to own it fills up. Jp8000 is great for different reasons, though not for pure analog impersonation of the jp8. Remember it's warm.

I circuit bended two Jupiters to give me 16 note poly. I then positioned my speakers near the window of my bedroom and whacked on the unison mode. IM now on the FBI's most wanted serial killer list hehe
Bloody awesome synth. Wish there were more of them going round.....I'd buy two of these.

Yes, the JP8 is a great machine, as the guy said below be prepared to pay a good price for it, and also be prepared to pay the price of keeping it running smoothly, spare parts are becoming expensive as they run out of them....

The Jupiter 8 is pure gutz and balls machine. It still hits hard compared to others and is worth owning if you can find one. Be prepared to pay a good price for it.
