i play the synths in a band and ive to say that the juno-d is perfectly made for stage performances. its super light weight and compact and the sounds are pretty nice as well. the synth sounds could be a little more vintage for my taste, but u can make it up with th sound editor. i use it with the sp 606 workstation and since the juno d doesnt have a sequencer its a perfect match. i just love it...

I just bought the Jund D two days ago and can say that it has exceeded my expectations. I also own a Korg EA1 and a DW8000.

The piano sounds are sweet, the brass sounds are true, and the orchestra and synth sounds beg to be arped. Which brings me to the programming. I think it will take me a little time to get used to, but it is challenging.

Other units in this price range (ms2000, and ION, novation) simply do not have sound set and features like the Juno D. It can sound very clean and very gritty as well.

I'm sure this synth will keep me entertained for years to come.

I ain't a freek about sounds and to be honest, I never had the luck to actually be learning a piano. all I ever learned, I did on my own. but time and practice makes a perfect candidate. I bought the Juno D, cause quite frankly, anything cheaper was real crap, not worthy for stage performances and anything better required a bank-robbery. but I must say, I got the perfect gear for me. maybe people complain about the feel of the keys or constrained programming, but if your previous keyboard was a Yamaha PSR-270, which had served it's time long ago.. well I'm lucky Roland has thought beyond the professionals and super-freaks and thought of me. hey, if you got the bucks, go and get nuts in the shop. if you ain't, Juno D is for you
