I have this synth for 5 and a half year now.. and i think it is a great synthesizer to begin with... You can even make your own dance hit.. because this one got some kewl filters! and you can use about 8 different choruses and reverbs! ( 1 at the time ofcoz but if you wanna buy a new synth you'd better go for the cs1x from yamaha! wreaaly cool synth!

The Roland JV-30 is an excellent first user keyboard, that

delivers a lot of bang for the buck. Some of the percussion

patches sound less genuine than some Roland drum machines that

come to mind, but with the exception of the harpsichord and flute,

the traditional instruments sound dynamite. Finally, the piano

(and there are a number of them) presets sound absolutely

incredible, holding a candle to the hugher end Yamahas and

Kurzweils...it was the reason I purchased mine years ago. Still

a favorite!

The same sounds that the JV-35 and the JV-50. Verry good for begginers. The Roland sound quality for a verry good price! Got mine for $400 but now you can find one for around $300.(worth it)
