Probably the best Roland analogue when you take all things into consideration and add on the pg800. The sound is massive. 12 note poly. Bi-timbral. Takes carts. Has midi. Has a full editting capability. Has warmth and sharpness. Loads of modulation routings etc. Touch and aftertouch responsive. One of the best keyboard actions. Great build quality. Built like a modern synth, not like a 70s hi-fi. Reliable. Coz the programmar can bo removed, easy to gig with. No sliders snapping off...people know what I mean here? Looks classy but not colourful. Respected and used by professionals. Not surrounded in bull shit hype (yet.) Has a clear disply of parameters and what they are doing. Stays in tune. Makes you look rich and like you know what you are doing. Can be used as a great controller. Sounds better than any Jupiter, including an 8. I've got one next to it to compare. The JX is so much stronger. Anyone think of a better analogue. No one say a bloody memorymoog, or worse a CS80...you know not what you are dsaying!.. Nope, the JX10 is the best!

Certainly as good as the Jupiters. The pg programmer makes the unit much more fun. Great build quality. certainly a top end synth. Few are for sale. Most are bought and owned forever. The prices were very high some years ago. Then a mag reviewed the synth..said everything was great except for an incomplete midi spec. Prices dropped as silly rumours passed about. Most analogues don't have any midi, but people were unforgiving because there was a problem with sys ex. program dumps. Prices never rose, which doesn't really matter because none are for sale. Put one up for sale and it will be snapped up! Then you will regret selling it for the same money as a juno 106. The world's totally bonkers.

highly underrated. this is a good thing; it keeps the price low for potential buyers! this does not translate so well for sellers, but who would want to sell theirs? incredible lush analog sound, slow envelopes, so no punchy basses, but it WILL do some evil sub bass in unison mode. of course you can do pads and strings galore- mixing tones makes for some interesting atmospheric sounds. second only to the Jupiters (6+8)

In my opinion, one of the most underrated synths of all time. The strings are very plush, and very nice. Programming this can be a bear, but isn't impossible. For the price, there is no other synth that can really compare. Also, I have a question, I havent seen these like I have jx-8's on the classifieds and such, are these rare or just the owners wanting to hold on to them?

THIS IS A GREAT SINTH. HAVE HADE ONE FOR 12 YEARS. I USED IT AS A PRIMERY KEYBOARD FOR YEARS. THIS IS A SUPER KEYBOARD. AFTER USING 30 HOURS OR SO A WEEK THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE HAD IN ALL THESE YEARS IS THE KEY CONTACTS, BUT THERE EASY TO REPAIR.
