I liked it! The MC-909 is better but who needs another Groove Box in this day and age? Get an Extreme ar a Fantom X!

the mc-505 is the cheapest sounding bit of gear i own. Its just way outdated. Even the mc-909 sounds cheap. I use 2 love roland, but after owning a jx-305, fantom, mc-505 and mc-909 im now sick.

poor Leroy cant even spell "the"......yikes! He probably flunked 3rd grade. oh well. Let's go easy on the dude. He has serious problems obviously......ahem!...really!
The MC-505 is a nice piece of gear if you know how to play instruments. If not, well then, it wont do you any favors. For the money its really quite capable. And its hard to knock it. There are plenty of other machines out there, but for $300 this is a steal. A lot of us have made a good pile of money off this machine and have moved on to other machines. Some of us have kept our MC-505 because its got its own mojo, and if you know how to use it, you can creat wicked beats and drive a party!
