Ok, toystuff again by Roland - what the hell are You doing???. Well the bass/lead sound quite ok, the drums are poor and very limited due to only that very few sounds. the Phraseloop-section does only record monolines (great, isn't it??? this is the same as with JS-30) and saving on SM-Card is time-consuming. This is not a realtime feature, it's a hometoy-gimmick for a kiddy-fun-machine. Hardly any cult to be expected as like TB 303 - this time is over for a 1000 years from now.

phrasier a part-time user from cancannanadada writes:
sound-wise, it is not as bad as described by [E]. the basses can growl, people. i was looking at this and the EA-1 as a bass synth and settled on this. it's a monosynth, but it sounds GOOD. it can SAMPLE audio inputs onto 4 loop tracks, which is very cool. and its knobs sends controller messages (although i haven't figured out how to do it) whereas the EA-1 for sure doesn't. overall i think it's a cool little box. the MANUAL, however, is horrendous, illogical, indecipherable, tragic shit. the few diagrams it has make it worse. i've been reading the manual for the JV-880 and you'd think they improve on their manuals. um, no. i just bought this unit today, and i cannot figure out how to record a phrase. i'm also trying to figure out how to record controller changes onto sonar. it really drives me crazy. who knows, i might return it tomorrow just because i can't decode the manual...argh.

man... and i thought the electribe was bad... this is worse than the MC-303... the knobs do shit all, the samples sound like shit.. NOT worth the money, get an electribe...

FUCK this thing is so lame, i was disgusted when i played with it at the store, i gagged.

get a microphone instead, your mouth can make better sounds
