Antony Davies a professional user from usa writes:
I have been composing on the MC 500 since 1987. It's been brilliant, never let me down. Don't listen to people that say it's no good. It all depends what you need it for. There's no point in comparing it to software based sequencing and anyone who does needs to get out of the bedroom/studio.

Jeff G a part-timer user from Boston writes:
I just bought a bunch of closeout midi gear/software over the net. I have what appears to be a brand new Roland Perfomance Package system generator MRP500 for the MC-500. I just need to get my cash back, and if this is useful to someone let me know. It'll go cheap!

It has a manual and two disks designed (I think) to update the OS.

Please feel free to email me with any questions. Lot's of weird and old stuff in the lot.

Thanks Jeff G

Graham Swanepoel a part time user from South Africa writes:
I've used the sequencer since 1986 and never regreted buying the machine

one moment.

My sequencer has been dropped 3 times (twice off stage - a 6Ft fall)

and once off the roof of my car.It has kept on working and believe it or not, there's

not a scratch, or a crack and the LCD was not damaged.

My machine still looks as good as new. I find the processing time slow.

Booting up like the MC-50 would be nice and less time consuming.

The velocity setting, I think it is Func-4, could have a bigger range,

so as to create a better feel when writing Drum tracks.

The manual is not user friendly and difficult for someone who does not know the

machine

Duff Robison a professional user from CANADA writes:
I've been using the same MC-500 every weekend for ten years and it's

still working perfectly. Now that's road worthy!
