Just got myself a MC-500 yesterday. I must say the first impression is very nice indeed. MC-500 being rock solid and packed with features, I cant wait to dig further into it. Nevermind it's not as advanced as todays hard and soft sequensers, if you're more of a live musician this box will cover all your needs. Besides, its silent, and it doesn't crash every 5 minutes. Go buy one!

Hi fokes

I've used the MC-500 MK II for a good 8 years now. As a blind musician, I find it much easier to use. In some respects, I can program far quicker on the MC than software sequencers.

I think that it's a great machine.

I've just bought a second hand MC500MkII. Everything's fine except that the first owner has misplaced the "Advanced Users/Applications Manual". Fortunately a friend of mine lent me his manual, but it was for a MC500 (not the MkII). Will I be missing out on something which the MkII has over the MC500 without the correct manual?

A few months ago I posted at this site imploring help with the first and only problem I've ever experienced using the MC-500. I'd like to retract those statements, because the problem wasn't the MC at all,,it turned out to be a faulty connection in a long line of precarious and questionable connections. " Measure Twice, Cut Once." I'd also like to thank everyone for the numerous E-mails and have been happy to try to resolve the questions and problems of other MC users. It seem the MC-500 has fostered a dedicated community all it's own. Cheers.

I own an MC500 Mk11, and have been using it on a daily basis since 1990. It's a great machine - simple and straight forward - and has never given me any problems. I changed over to Cakewalk a few years ago - but soon changed back to the MC, as I found it far easier to use. Am dreading the day it finally dies on me - but until then I wont use anything else!
