This is very much like the Strings and Brass sections of Korg Trident MKII, just with the Roland flavor...

For the money (in my case, 200 euros) This is one amazing synth. It litterally sounds like no other (even though its organ and strings), very analog and warm. I use for experimental music.

They are going so cheap now a days, if you find one for an ok price, get it.

This little known beast is capable of producing the most glorious pads and strings, and when used in conjunction with an analogue synth you can use the gate out feature to trigger your synth's envelope and turn this beast into a fantastic polyphonic synth.

I use it in conjunction with Moogerfooger pedals and have achieved some of the most heart wrenching pads i have ever made. It works great on it's own aswell but that is all down to the great analogue chorus on board.

Overall these things are excellent for pads and are going cheap nowadys too, i just wish there were more control over the waveforms and for this reason i give it a 4........oh heck i'll give it a 5 for the pads!!

had one of these for a while good for eerie sounds especially using the pitch pot, a little overdrive analog echo and phase improve the organ sound no end.

Hello, I use the rs 09 almost in every types of music (theater productions, soundtracks, electronic music and easy listening). You can make singing-ghost-like sounds and very beautiful milky organ melodies. I often use it with a alesis air fx (the modern theremin), so I can produce strange string sounds waving my heand around the air fx. Its a great machine and I will never give it away.
