I'm new to keyboards, but I've been trying out a few, reading anything I can find, to help me decide what to get. I need a machine to use in an indie band & to use with my PC at home. I conclude that the RS5 is the machine for me - really nice wholesme sounds, pretty easy to use (for a beginnner)and not too heavy to lug around. It is nice to play, looks cool and about affordable. I prefer it to the Yamaha CS2 & CS6, sounds better, easier to use, lighter, and I've turned down a much cheaper offer on a 2nd hand Technics WSA. So there you go ... if I find any problems I'll email again.

I checked it out too. Nice stepping MC-303 filter on it.

tried it out at a music store I liked it better then more expensive models. its like a yamaha cs rip off, with better sound. reminds me of my cs1x. has the xv-88 sound engine and arpeggiator and costs a whole lot less,I enjoyed its sound more then the xp-30(except guitar was awsome on xp30) ,ms2000(but I like the extra features),and the triton which are all more expensive. I plan on buying one soon.
