Analogue Crazy a part-time user from UK writes:
This is a little mind blower. At first the SH-09 looks like nothing special but you have to hear the little thing to belive it. It produces such a warm and fat sound which blows the 80's Juno's away for bass. The sub oscillator is a killer. If you you have not owned one of these then you are missing a treat. If you see one at a reasonable price....snap it up!

furrybum a part-time user from derby uk writes:
For sheer quality of sounds this synth is unreal. I got mine second hand for around £150 and it was more than worth it. I use it mainly for bass and its by far the phattest synth ive owned. Its also great for wibbly out-there sounds.

If i lost mine id deffinately hunt down another one.

Richard a hobbyist user from NYC writes:
One of my favorites, also my first synth circa '83. I realize there are diverse opinions, but to me this was always way warmer than the 101. The layout and single oscillator design is deceptively simple, because the range and variety of sounds you can get out of the 09 is truly mind boggling. The oscillating filter is a monster, makes for killer bass drums. Try sampling a range of percussion sounds and then building a drum track out of them...much fun.

SYNTEX77 a professional user from Italy writes:
Good analog monosynth, have a big fat sound and it's filter is powerful, similar to the sh101, but don't have same clean sound and lacks the arpeggiator and the sequencer, the noise ( the oscillator can make a noise), tracking control of filter (only tracking), but sound is fatter and very vintage and have an external input for external audio processing (cool!). The best chosen on this range price for have a powerful fat analog vintage monosynth...

Love my SH-09, but it's missing one slider cap.

Anyone out there got a spare please? Send me an e-mail at jon@jmrtech.co.uk
