Gee, guy? You really think that review was weird? You should try working with the guy. Commercial house as f***, following petty pipe dreams.

drumatix a professional user from Danmark writes:
I must admit, I had a 808 in the studio the other day and had each output induvidually hocked up to the 01v whhoo.. a little reverb on the perc, delay on the snare claves & ohh, a quick gate on the ryde & cowbell, drastik eq here and there and man does it sounds good ..all I need is a bassline and a vocal and I've got a wicked tune, it's so sonicly rich it completely makes a track all on it's own, and if you can afford the inputs prepear to be dazzeld.. add some distortion and you've got thiss mad leftfield bigbeat sound, or add some sampled breaks over the top and you've got everything you need to do fat jungle/breaks or just keep it plain an do some jucy electro or play it at 110bpm for instant massif attack hiphop speaker pumping.. I'm now using samples (I sampled it directly) but I can't spare the outs on my sampler and to be honest its not really like having an 808, the samples arn't alive like the 808 and after listening to the samples for an hour+ it gets dull.. don't know if I want to spazz out the cash for a 808 as yet, but with the induvidual outs the sonic options are endless.. right now my fav sound in the world is a 808 cowbell with some reverb/delay and very quick gate running through a vocoder .. PsizzingK k k k ...

The 808 sound cannot be matched. Use a MIDI Sync converter if you want MIDI. Use an 808 if ya wanna rock tha house.
